Bilateral Brachial plexus block: A case report

Abstract
Brachial plexus block is a very good alternative to general anaesthesia in upper limb surgeries. However, its bilateral use is not routinely practised because of the fear of complications such as phrenic nerve palsy, pneumothorax, and local anaesthetic systemic toxicity. With the introduction of ultrasound into the practice of regional anaesthesia, these blocks are increasingly becoming safe. We report to share our experience on a case of bilateral brachial plexus block in a 45 year old man with bilateral distal radial fractures, and blunt chest injury with multiple right sided rib fractures..
