Abstract
Aim: - Phytochemical screening of Solanum xanthocarpum
The current study attempted to investigate the potential benefits of Solanum xanthocarpum components that had been identified and extracted using six different solvents via the soxhlet technique.
Method: - GC-MS and Conventional antioxidant methodology
It also performed better than characteristic antioxidants in tests for thiyl-sulfur free radicals, ferric reducing power, nitric oxide radical scavenging, hydroxyl radical scavenging, and hydrogen peroxide radical scavenging.
Results: - Antimicrobial screening
Three Gram-positive bacteria, three Gram-negative bacteria, and three fungi were found to be more susceptible to antimicrobial treatments utilizing the disc diffusion strategy. Following a phytochemical screening of six extracts, two have been chosen for GCMS analysis to identify the active phytochemicals present.
Conclusion: -
These findings emphasize plant extracts' rich phytochemical composition and potential use in a variety of biological and pharmacological applications.

Key words: Phytochemical screening, radical-scavenging activities, antimicrobial activity, Solanum xanthocarpum
